Terms of Service
These terms describe how Feather & Pine ("we," "us") provides home staging and related services. They apply to every quote we send and every project we take on. By booking a project or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms. If we've signed a separate written agreement for your project, that agreement controls where it differs from this page.
1. Quotes & estimates
Quotes are based on the information you give us and, where possible, a walkthrough. Each service is quoted separately; add-on services (cleaning, project management, listing photography) are optional and priced on their own. A quote is valid for [30] days and may change if the scope, home size, timeline, or access changes.
2. Deposit & payment
A deposit of [X]% is due to reserve your install date; the balance is due [on or before install day / upon completion]. Staging is billed for an initial term (see section 5). We accept [payment methods]. Late balances may pause service or delay de-stage.
3. Cancellations & rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule with at least [7] days' notice for a full refund of any unused deposit. Cancellations inside [7] days may forfeit some or all of the deposit, because inventory and crew are reserved for your date. We'll always try to accommodate changes when we can.
4. Scheduling & install
We aim to send a fixed quote within 24 hours of your request and to complete most installs in about a day, before your listing photos. Install timing depends on your home being ready and accessible (utilities on, clear access, any repairs or cleaning complete). Delays caused by access, weather, third-party vendors, or building/HOA requirements are outside our control and may move the date.
5. Staging period & de-stage
Staging is provided for an initial term of [30/60] days from install. If your home is still on the market at the end of the term, we'll extend at the agreed monthly rate. We typically de-stage about a week after the home goes pending, or on a date we schedule together, and we handle pickup of all our inventory.
6. Our inventory & care of your property
All furniture, art, and décor remain our property at all times and may not be moved, used, sold, or altered. You agree to keep the staged home reasonably secure and to notify us promptly of any loss or damage to our items while they're in your home; you're responsible for the replacement or repair cost of our items lost or damaged during the staging period (normal wear excepted). We carry insurance and take care in your home; if we cause damage, tell us right away and we'll make it right.
7. Add-on & coordinated services
For project management, cleaning, and photography, we may coordinate vetted third-party providers. We manage scheduling and quality on your behalf, but licensed trades and vendors are responsible for their own work. Where a service is performed by a partner, that will be reflected in your quote.
8. Photography & media release
Unless you tell us otherwise in writing, you grant Feather & Pine permission to photograph and video the staged home and to use those images to promote our work (website, social media, marketing), without disclosing your identity or exact address. You can opt out at any time by emailing us; we'll stop using new images and remove existing ones from our own channels within a reasonable time.
9. Limitation of liability
Home sale outcomes depend on many factors we don't control — price, market conditions, your agent, and the home's condition — so we don't guarantee any specific sale price, speed, or result. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the project.
