Introduction

Feather & Pine ("we," "us," or "our") is a home staging studio serving the San Francisco Bay Area. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we collect and use it.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through our website at featherandpinehome.com and describes your rights as a California resident. This policy is effective as of June 30, 2026.

By using our website or submitting a quote request, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or submit your information.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information in two ways:

Information you provide directly. When you fill out our quote request form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your property address
  • Project details (property type, timeline, services requested, and any notes you include)

We only collect this information when you choose to submit it. You are not required to provide it to browse our site.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, certain technical data is collected automatically by our hosting provider and analytics tools. This may include:

  • Your IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages you visit on our site and time spent on each
  • Referring URL (the page that linked you to our site)
  • Date and time of your visit

This data is collected in aggregate and is generally not linked to your identity unless you also submit a quote form.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiry. When you submit a quote request, we use your contact details to reach out, ask follow-up questions, and provide a staging estimate.
  • To provide our services. If you hire us, your contact and property information is used to schedule consultations, coordinate installations, and fulfill the staging project.
  • To improve our website. Aggregate analytics data helps us understand which pages are most useful, how visitors navigate the site, and where we can make improvements.
  • To communicate with you. We may send you a follow-up email after a project is complete or if we have updates relevant to your inquiry. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing purposes. Ever.

Cookies & Analytics

Our website may use cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to support site functionality and analytics. Specifically:

Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics (or a similar service) to collect aggregated data about how visitors use our site. Google Analytics places cookies in your browser and may transmit data about your visit to Google's servers. This information is used only to understand site usage and improve content.

How to opt out. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, clear existing cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. Note that disabling cookies may affect some website functionality.

You may also opt out of Google Analytics tracking across websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use cookies for advertising retargeting or to build behavioral profiles.

Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of third-party service providers who may process your data on our behalf:

  • Website hosting provider. Our website is hosted on a third-party platform. That provider's servers process all traffic to our site and may store access logs.
  • Analytics provider. We use a service such as Google Analytics to collect aggregated usage statistics. Data shared with analytics providers is governed by their own privacy policies.
  • Email service. Emails you send to our address, or that we send to you, may be processed by email providers such as Google Workspace.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required by law. We do not use advertising networks, data brokers, or social media tracking pixels on our site.

Your California Privacy Rights

California residents have rights under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) depending on thresholds that apply to our business. Regardless of those thresholds, we honor the following rights:

  • Right to know. You may request information about what personal data we have collected about you, the categories of sources we collected it from, and the purposes for which it was used.
  • Right to access. You may request a copy of the specific personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to deletion. You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to limited exceptions (such as data we are required to retain by law or for legitimate business purposes).
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not treat you differently or deny you service for exercising any of these rights.

To submit a privacy rights request, email us at staging@featherandpinehome.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line, or call us at (650) 885-8919. We will respond within 45 days.

Data Retention

We retain information submitted via the quote form for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to fulfill the project and any follow-up needs. For non-clients, we typically retain inquiry data for up to 12 months, after which it may be deleted or anonymized.

Analytics data (which is aggregated and generally not tied to individuals) may be retained longer as part of site performance records.

If you request deletion of your data, we will act on that request promptly as described in the section above.
